Dave Reynolds wrote The Card Game with Breanna and Taylor in mind for the roles of the sisters who duke it out over a simple game one afternoon. We wanted to know if the girls liked acting and working on movies and if we could work with them. As it turns out, we had a blast (and I think Bre and Tay did, too!).
The concept of the project was a simple one: two actors, one location, minimal action (and therefore minimal expense). We wanted to do something fairly simple with the girls, so we used the in-camera mic - no extra crew around for distraction, etc. We also wanted something for Gina to practice her editing skills with, to keep them sharp for our next project.
